ABOUT THE SHOW
In 2016 Opshop drummer Bobby Kennedy and Danny McCrum started the podcast Don’t Give Up Your Day Job. The goal was to have honest conversations about what it’s really like working as a creative professional. The show was funny, hard hitting, irreverent and often fearlessly critical of the Wild West that is the music industry.
In 2018, for personal reasons, Bobby reduced his involvement and Danny took over as the sole host. Bobby still appears on the show once or twice a year.
After eight years, 155 episodes and many global challenges, Danny reflected on what kind of message he wanted to be putting out into the world. One of the most significant themes in his career has been problem solving and because this seems more relevant in these challenging times, he made the decision to cut the name in half and refocus the show towards finding solutions.
So welcome to the new conversation. Welcome to Don’t Give Up.
